Sally Deck Walker, 40, of Kennett, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at National Health Care in Kennett.
Born Oct. 2, 1964, in Kennett, daughter of Bobby and Joy Douglas Deck, she graduated from Senath-Hornersville High School in May of 1983 as Salutatorian of her class and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo., with a degree in education, specializing in early childhood development. She taught third grade at St. Joseph Cathedral School System in Jefferson City, Mo., and fifth and sixth grades at the Gideon, Mo. School system. She performed volunteer work with the school children and church youth groups and worked in vacation bible school at Senath First Baptist Church and Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was a member of the Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
On Jan. 30, 1987, she married Reggie Walker, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Megan Walker, of Kennett; her parents Bobby and Joy Deck, of Senath, Mo., and one brother, Robert Deck, of Senath.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Aug. 11, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the First Baptist Church in Senath.
Burial will follow at the Senath Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Curt Poor, David Morris, Don Lang, Eddie Lomax, Jamie Davault and Scotty Jackson.
