Bobby Ray Owens

Bobby Ray Owens, 59, of Dyersburg, Tenn., formerly of Hayti and Pascola, Mo., died Thursday, August 4, 2005, at Regional Hospital of Jackson, Tenn.

Born Oct. 2, 1945, at Hayti, a son of the late Ray and Cora Pearl Scurlock Owens, he was a Baptist and an automobile salesman.

He married Cheryl Jones, from whom he was divorced.

Other survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Stikes of St. Louis, two sisters, Sandra Rhinehart of S.C. and Belinda Mooneyham of Wardell, Mo., one brother, Jack Owens of Caruthersville, Mo. and a special friend, June Warren of Tiptonville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Eugene Owens.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, at Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel at Hayti, with the Rev. Howard Kirby officiating.

Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.
