Nancy Curtis

Nancy Belle Curtis, 85, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, July 29, 2005, at Dyersburg, Tenn.

Born Dec. 10, 1919, in Kentucky, daughter of the late Otto King and Pearl Adams, she attended school in Ridgely, Tenn., and was a member of the Central Church of Christ.

On Feb. 18, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., she married Lloyd "Bud" Curtis, who preceded her in death in February, 1979. She was also preceded in death by two brothers.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Kollar, of Kirksville, Mo., and Wannie Johnson, of Dyersburg; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the Central Church of Christ in Caruthersville with the Rev. Jimmy Colvett officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Denver Meek, Herb Smith, Bill Broderick, Don Abernethy, Jon Pruiett and James Mott.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville, Mo. was in charge of arrangements.
