Joyce H. Underwood, 74, of Piggott, Ark., died Saturday, July 30, 2005, at Murphy Health and Rehabilitation.

Born March 23, 1931, in Cardwell, Mo., she was the daughter of the late George and Bertha Partain Harmon.

On Sept. 14, 1951, she married Charles Underwood, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Charles William Underwood and wife, Dianne, of Memphis, Tenn., and John Steven Underwood, of Piggott, Ark.; one daughter, Nancy Holder and husband, John, of Conway, Ark.; four brothers, Robert A. Harmon, of Cardwell, Howard Harmon, of Herculaneum, Mo., Roger Harmon, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and John Harmon, of Clarksville, Mo., and two grandchildren, Katie and Rob Holder, both of Conway.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Piggott with Richard Akins officiating.

Burial was in the Piggott Cemetery.

Pallbearers were John Holder, Rob Holder, Steve Underwood, Chuck Underwood, Bob Tidwell and Verlin Moffitt.
