Gladys Benfield, 94, of Gideon, Mo., formerly of Kennett, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at the Gideon Care Center in Gideon.

Born July 24, 1910, in Arkansas, daughter of the late James William Westmoreland and Alice Moody Westmoreland.

Survivors include one daughter, Letha Wadley of Kennett; one sister, Aline "Hamlett" Craig of Kennett and several granchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Gilliam, four sons, Willard, Mayford, Charles and Don Benfield.

Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. until service time on Friday, July 15, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 15, at the Bradshaw Funeral Chapel with Spencer Furby officiating.

Burial will be held at the Memorial Gardens in Kennett.
