R.B. Hawkins, 74, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter, Mo.

Born Nov. 13, 1930, in Morrilton, Ark., son of the late James Fender and Dollie Riddling Hawkins, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He was of the Assembly of God faith and a member of the Malden VFW.

On July 5, 1952, in Piggott, he married Ira Dean Pickard, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Hollie Davis and husband, David, of Malden; one brother, J.M. Hawkins, of Clarkton, Mo.; one sister, Jewell May Carden, of St. Joseph, Mo. and two granddaughters, Kylee and Kayla Davis, both of Malden.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and two sisters, Anna Dean Wright and Janet Pressley.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, July 7, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. David Wigger officiating.

Burial was in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
