Tommy Biggs

Tommy Joe Biggs, 54, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems Hospital in Hayti, Mo.

Born May 5, 1951, in New Madrid, Mo., son of the late John Edward and Dorothy Irene Biggs, he was a farmer and of the Pentecostal faith.

In 2000, at Blytheville, Ark., he married Minnie Kiser, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one son, Cecil Delane Biggs, of St. Louis, Mo.; two step-daughters, Vickie Hollisof, of Caruthersville and Netty Selvar, of Blytheville; two step-sons, James Elliott and wife, Mequeeta, of Caruthersville and Clyde Parsons, of Georgia; two brothers, Jerry Don Biggs of Caruthersville and Charles William Biggs, of Hayti; three sisters, Belle Turpen, Mae Fennell and husband, Dennis and Brenda Lawrence and husband, Davis, all of Caruthersville; two half-brothers, Johnny Watts, of Puxico, Mo., and Jerry Watts, of Doniphan, Mo.; four step-sisters, Linda McCaig, of Bragg City, Mo., Gail Lopillow, of Browntown, Wis., Lavera Quick, of Kennett and Sherry Quick; two step-brothers, Binny and Jinner Quick; one granddaughter, Rose Irene Biggs, of St. Louis and seven step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 3, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with the Pastor Rob Titus officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Hayti.

Pallbearers were Erika Lucy, Mary Beth Garner, James Simpson, James White, Johnny Markim and Kevin Britton.
