Travis Birmingham

Travis Birmingham, 74, of Owensboro, Mo., died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at his residence.

Born Oct. 5, 1930, in Milledgevile, Tenn., son of the late Travis Sr., and Gladys Sharp Birmingham, he was a U.S. veteran and a mechanic for American Airlines. He was a member of the Owensville Lions, Masonic Lodge, Shriners Club, VFW Post 6133, Disabled American Veterans and St. John's United Church of Christ.

On Sept. 1, 1967, he married Bernadine Shore, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include three brothers, Jacky Birmingham, of Arnold, Mo., Buddy Birmingham, of Glendale, Ariz., and Terry Birmingham and wife, Linda, of Dora, Fla.; three sisters, Inez Smith, of Gideon, Mo., Juanita Moran and husband, Bobby, of Bartlett, Tenn., and Geneva Richey, of Kennett and special friend, Bonnie King, of Owensville.

Funeral services were held June 11 at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with the Rev. Todd Hackman officiating.

Burial was in the St. John's UCC Cemetery, Bem.
