Bertie Almeda Butler, 71, of Portageville, Mo., died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at her residence.
Born Oct. 13, 1933, at Hornersville, Mo., a daughter of the late Arthur and Emma McClain Young, she was a member of First Baptist Church at Portageville and manager of Sandy's Hallmark Shop in Portageville.
On May 20, 1956, at Kennett, she married Garland Butler who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Joe Butler and wife, Stacy, of Larkspur, Colo. and Lynn Butler and wife, Heather, of Bartlett, Tenn.; two daughters, Jody Kelley and husband, Gene, and Judy Swilley and husband, Chad, all of Portageville; six grandchildren, Lindsey Butler, Meredith Butler, Matthew Butler, Andrew Butler, Madison Swilley and Justin Swilley.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Burnett and Amy Nell Wilson.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, July 3, at First Baptist Church of Portageville with Lynn Butler officiating.
Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Phil Underwood, Dr. Ed Noffel, Harold Edgar, Clint Klipfel, David Boyd, Joe Simmons, Jake Fisher, Buster Kelly and Jimmy Swilley.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Love Sunday School class.
