Billy Wayne Maxwell, 67, of Holcomb, Mo., died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at his home.

Born Sept. 28, 1937 at Jonesboro, Ark., he was a son of the late Floyd and Maudie Hyman Maxwell.

In 1933 at Frisbee, Mo. he married Estelle Chaney who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Gary Maxwell of Sedgwick, Ark. and Thomas Gray of Kennett; one daughter, Betty Alsup of Kennett; one brother, Gerald Maxwell of Jonesboro, three sisters, his twin, Betty Shoe of Delaplaine, Ark. and Nell Mattix and Nettie Holmes, both of Jonesboro; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Maxel..

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Jerry Darby officiating.

Burial was in Gregory Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Dennis Brown, J.B. Harris, Charles Brown, Buster Harris and Steve Wright.
