Phyllis June McNeal, 49, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born Sept. 1, 1955, at Dexter, Mo., a daughter of Alice Jane Smith McNeal of Malden and the late L.W. McNeal. She received a bachelor degree from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, Ark. and a master's degree from Southeast Missouri State University at Cape Girardeau. She was an art teacher and counselor with the Malden school system and member of First Christian Church of Malden. She was a member of Malden Country Club, American Legion and Missouri State Teachers Association.

Other survivors include two sisters, Wanda Harper and husband, Joe, of Jenks, Okla. and Susan Rinehart and husband, Glenn, of Malden.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, July 3, at Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with Dr. Jeff Krupinski and Martin Lucas officiating.

Burial will be in Elder Cemetery at Campbell, Mo.
