Charles Elvis Morris, 55, of Kennett, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born March 22, 1955, at Blytheville, Ark., a son of the Junetta Morris of Kennett, and the late John Henry Morris, he attended Cooter, Mo. High School, and was a deacon at Zion Rock Missionary Baptist Church at Hermondale, Mo.

He is further survived by seven brothers and six sisters, Frank, Jeanette and Jerry and Milo Morris and wife, Edith Mae, all of Kennett; James Morris and wife, Earnestine, and Albert Morris and wife, Lora, Charlene Clay, Peggy Clay, Corey Clay and Loretta Clay, all of Steele, Mo., Tommy Hill and wife, Diane, and Linda Robinson all of Caruthersville.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at Community Temple Church of God in Christ with Bishop Vernis Farmer officiating.

Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangement.
