Lawrence McDonald, 77, of Malden, Mo., died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
Born April 6, 1928, in Magness, Ark., son of the late Rube Lee and Ruth Mae Batson McDonald, he was employed at Malden Fruit Market and was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Malden.
On June 7, 1954, in Mississippi, he married Wanda Lee Levart, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include one daughter, Kathy McDonald Book and husband, Dave, of Malden; two sons, Gary McDonald and wife, Peggy, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Tim McDonald, of Dexter; three brothers, Bob, Roy and Terry McDonald, all of Malden; six grandchildren, Jason McDonald, Suzanne Thurman and Lara Lynn McDonald, all of Poplar Bluff, Kayla Book, of Malden and Greg and Sara Bell, both of Broseley, Mo., and two great-grandchildren, Trevor Dale and Gracie Lynn McDonald, both of Poplar Bluff.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and William McDonald.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, July 1, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
