Born Sept. 5, 1928, in Hornersville, Mo., son of Robert Harmon and Maudie Langston, he worked for Watervliet Paper Company, he did carpentry work and was a member of the South Haven Community Church.
On Sept. 5, 1928, in Kennett, he married Margaret Kirby, who survives of the home.
Survivors also include six sons, Paul Langston Jr., of South Haven, Bryan Kirby and wife, Audrey, of Climax, Mich., Gary Langston and wife, Terri, of Independence, Mo., Jim Langston and wife, Pam, of Kansas City, Mo., Tim Smith, of St. Louis, Mo., and Chris Smith, of Largo, Fla.; three daughters, Jannetta Kish and husband, Alex, and Carole Cassell and husband, Roger, all of South Haven and Susan Baresse, of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Bobby Harmon and wife, Maryann, of Kennett; five sisters, Delores Sweeten and husband, Chuck, of Battle Creek, Mich., Katherine and Winnie Harmon and Connie Edgerly and husband, Wells, all of Hartford, Mich., and Linda Fennssey, of Eau Claire, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Rick Langston and one grandson, Justin Langston.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in south Haven.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Pastor Gordon Edwards officiating.
