Ralph Mills Wheeler, 80, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, June 27, 2005, at Beverly Health and Rehab in Malden.

Born July 5, 1924, in Walnut Grove, Mo., son of the late John Allen and Delshie Mills Wheeler, he was U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the American legion, VFW and the Teamster Union No. 710/ No. 705 and of the Baptist faith.

On Nov. 6, 1942, in Springfield, Mo., he married Mary Drysdale, who survives.

Survivors also include three sons, Robert Ralph Wheeler and wife, Barbara, of Bradley, Ill., John Wheeler and wife, Mary, of Bourbonnis, Ill., and James Gregory Wheeler, of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jerry, Nelson and Patrick Wheeler.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden.

Graveside memorial services with military rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove.
