Clay Crosse to perform in Malden

The Malden Ministerial Alliance has embarked on an inaugural event to mark the community's Fourth of July celebration.

According to Rodney, Presley, event coordinator, the Ministerial Alliance will sponsor an all-Christian concert on July 4 at the Tammy Wynette stage at the Malden Industrial Park.

The headliner for the event will be Clay Crosse, who has won three Dove awards and a Grammy for his Christian-based music.

The concert will begin at 4 p.m. and those attending the event are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

Tickets, which are currently available at Wallace and Owens' Country Mart, First State Community Bank, The Christian Book Center in Poplar Bluff and Eze Cook Gas in Campbell, will be $5 in advance and $7 at the gate.

The concert, which ends at 9 p.m. will be followed by the traditional fireworks show, sponsored by the Malden Airport Board in conjunction with donations from local businesses.
