Earl Samuel Beaird, 99, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at his residence.
Born Aug. 26, 1905, in Blytheville, Ark., son of the late William MoLorne and Margaret Sparks Beaird, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Malden and of the Pentecostal faith.
In 1937, in Piggott, Ark., he married Mildred Marie Singleton, who preceded him in death on Oct. 10, 1997. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Sam and "Toby" Beaird; one sister, Daisy Henderson; one brother, Cecil Beaird and two half-brothers, Billy and Robert Beaird.
Survivors include two daughters, Nadine Pavy, of Malden and Marie Seabaugh, of Bernie, Mo.; four half-sisters, Gladys Edwards, of Bonne Terre, Mo., Dovie House, of Malden, Betty Beaird, of Birch Tree, Mo., and Rosie Reel, of Tucson, Ariz.; one half-brother, Lee Beaird, of St. Louis, Mo.; five grandchildren, Wendell, Dustin and Brian Beaird, Deanna Kay Robey and Darrell York and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, June 24, at the Bethany Cemetery in Campbell, Mo., with the Rev. James Beaird officiating.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
