Born Sept. 10, 1938, in Newbern, Tenn., son of the late Cecil and Cora Watt Worley, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in Vietnam.
On July 7, 1960, in Phalsbourg, France, he married Marie Toussaint, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Douglas Worley, Jr., of Kissee Mills and Mike Worley and wife, Petra, of Ogden, Utah; one daughter, Linda Ray and husband, Keith, of Aurora, Ill.; one sister, Pauline Lannie and husband, Pete, of Hayti; one brother, Charles Worley and wife, LaNell, of Granbury, Texas and four grandchildren, Sean, Kyle and Luke Worley, all of Ogden and Madison Ray, of Aurora, Ill.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Friday, June 24, at the Hayti Church of Christ with Jeff Thomas officiating.
Burial with full military honors was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville, Mo.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
