Geneva Williams Vance, 75, of Kennett, died Monday, June 20, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born July 9, 1929, in Leachville, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Tilda Miller Pace.

On April 3, 1947, she married Robert R. Williams, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1979. She later married Sam Vance, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Junior Pace; two half-brothers, Euel and Paul Pace; two sisters, Edna Finley and Jennett Pace; two half-sisters, Rosetta Busick and Nell Pace and one grandchild.

Survivors include three sons, Roy Williams and wife, Joann, of Madison, Conn., Robert Williams and wife, Lynn, of San Francisco, Calif., and Sam Williams and wife, Tammy, of Goose Creek, S.C.; three daughters, Sandra Chavis and husband, Billy, of Millington, Tenn., Connie Brooks and husband, Johnny, of Kennett and Mary Tarpley and husband, Skip, of Hardy, Ark.; one sister, Edith Russell, of Munford, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 22, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Justin Tarpley officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Bobby Joe Southern, Edward Southern, Tony Southern, Rick Samples, Jerry Mashburn and Tim Damron.
