Alvy Buck, 87, of Kennett, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at his residence.
Born April 2, 1918, in Hollywood, Mo., he was the son of Newt and Callie Harkey Buck.
On Aug. 3, 1937, he married Wilsona Colburn, who preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Carolyn Buck; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Buck, of Paragould, Ark., and Terry Buck, of Bossier City, La.; one sister, Oleda Brewer, of Paragould; four grandchildren, Major Brian Buck, Lt. Commander John Ferguson, Mrs. Carrie Salinas and Jason Buck and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at the First Baptist Church in Hornersville, Mo., with the Rev. Freddy Bowen officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
Pallbearers were Buddy Brannum, Bud Rawls, Joe Buck, Sammy Brannum, Charles Author and Bradley Benson.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Hornersville was in charge of arrangements.
