Betty Mae Alford, 65, of Kennett, died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born, Jan. 14, 1940, at Renzi, Miss., a daughter of the late Wilbert and N.D. Turner Taylor she was employed by Home Health Care for Tri-County and a member of North 6th St. Church of God in Christ.
On Jan. 14, 1956, in Kennett, she married Billy Alford who survives.
Other survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Johnson and husband, Benny, Janie Morris and Mary Ann Phillips all of Kennett and Linda Pittman of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; two step-sons, Clarence Jones and Anthony White both of Kennett; six sisters, Gertie Taylor, Nellie Taylor, Laura Pulliam, Annie Taylor and Ruby Taylor, all of Kennett and Ruthie White of Malden; five brothers, Willie Taylor and Johnny Taylor both of St. Louis, Leroy, Joe and James Taylor all of Toledo, Ohio; 17 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Jean Alford and one brother, Lawrence Taylor.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, June 19, at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Kennett with the Rev. Nathaniel Ellis and Elder William Bird officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.
