Born Jan. 24, 1927, at Newport, Ark., a son of the late George Henry and Effie Shounes Rawlings, he was a retired butcher shop owner and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
On March 24, 1945, at Piggott, Ark., he married Wilda Mae Whittenburg who preceded him in death Sept. 24, 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Rawlings and wife, Linda, of Risco, Terry Rawlings and wife, Missy, of Puxico, Mo.; two sisters, Clara Belle Gannett of Illinois; four grandchildren, Michelle Beacham of Malden, Mo., Angie Rawlings of Risco, Suzanne Taylor of Rolla, Mo. and Allison Rawlings of Puxico; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, June 19, at Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Mark Powell.
Burial with military rites will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
