Alvy Buck, 87, of Kennett, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at his residence.
Born April 2, 1918, in Hollywood, Mo., he was the son of Newt and Callie Harkey Buck.
On Aug. 3, 1937, he married Wilsona Colburn, who preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 2002. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Ron Buck, of Paragould, Ark., and Terry Buck, of Bossier City, La.; one sister, Oleda Brewer, of Paragould; four grandchildren, Major Brian Buck, Lt. Commander John Ferguson, Mrs. Carrie Salinas and Jason Buck and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, June 17, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Hornersville, Mo.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at the First Baptist Church in Hornersville with the Rev. Freddy Bowen officiating.
Burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
Pallbearers are Buddy Brannum, Bud Rawls, Joe Buck, Sammy Brannum, Charles Author and Bradley Benson.
