Born March 7, 1922, in Lafe, Ark., son of the late Sid and Clara Cole, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII. He was employed with the Arkansas Highway Department and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Cole of Paragould; two sons, James "Jingo" Cole and wife, Mary Lou, of Kennett and Russell Cole and wife, Pat, of Dallas, Texas; four daughters, Pauletta Duvall and husband, Don, of Newark, Ohio, Ann Mobley and husband, Glen, of Pocahontas, Ark., Carolyn Martin and husband, Larry, of Paragould and Teresa Tomlinson and husband, Curtis, of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Robert and Homer Cole, both of Paragould; one sister, Lorene McFall, of Rector, Ark.; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and George Cole and two sisters, Adella Winburn and Mary Henderson.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, June 16, at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Everett Isom officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow at the Greene County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
