Georgia Dawson, 92, of Crete, Ill., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at the Anchorage and Beacher Nursing Home in Beacher, Ill.
Born July 26, 1912, in Pascola, Mo., daughter of the late Ed and Willie Nunn Stubbs, she was a homemaker and a seamstress and a member of the Hayti Church of Christ.
On Oct. 9, 1937, in Blytheville, Ark., she married Raymond Dawson, who preceded her in death on May 12, 1998. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Stubbs and two sisters, Claudie Clark Stubbs and Blanche Ayers.
Survivors include a special niece, Judith Tanner, of Crete and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Hayti Church of Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at the Hayti Church of Christ with Jeff Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
Pallbearers are family members.
