Wayne Lewis Hamilton, 50, of Kennett, died Saturday, June 11, 2005, at his residence.

Born Oct. 3, 1954, in Louisville, Ky., son of Lewis W. and Joann Wilson Hamilton, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a caseworker with the Division of Family Services.

On July 21, 1980, in Kennett, he married Malinda Wilkerson, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Brent Hamilton, of Kennett; one daughter, Dana Butler, of Kennett; his mother and father, Lewis W. and Joann Hamilton, of Kennett; two brothers, Boyd William Hamilton, of Norman, Okla., and Chuck Hamilton, of Kennett; one sister, Alice Sherian Sellers, of Overland, Mo. and one grandchild, Tuyen Hamilton, of Kennett.

Memorial services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 13, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Eric Snipes officiating.
