Betty Wheeler

Betty Lou Wheeler, 70, of Little Rock, Ark., died Sunday, June 5, 2005, at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

Born March 9, 1935, in Roland, Ark., daughter of the late John and Hazel Baker Dunlap, she was a nurse and of the Baptist faith.

In 1959, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Frank Wheeler, who survives.

Survivors also include two sons, Joey Richardson, of Bryant, Ark., and Timothy Franklin Wheeler, of Little Rock; one brother, Tommy Dunlap, of California; two sisters, Mary Lois Dicus, of Pacerville, Calif., and Johnnie Mae Alexander, of Dayton, Ohio and four grandchildren, Samuel Allen and Jewelia Elizabeth Louise Richardson, both of Little Rock and Kelsey Gay and Emily Grace Monroe, both of Bryant.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville with the Rev. John Stepp officiating.

Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
