Charles E. Lee, 70, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Monday, June 6, 2005, at his residence.

Born Aug. 4, 193, in Caruthersville, son of the late Charles Albert and Bertha Smith Lee, he served in the National Guard and was in the trucking business.

On Dec. 29, 1951, in Caruthersville, Mo., he married Glenda Lorene Finley, who survives.

Survivors also include one son, Charles Allen Lee, of Quitman, Ark.; two daughters, Glenda Huffman and Debbie McGraw, both of Caruthersville; one brother, Kenneth Lee, of Caruthersville; three sisters, Virgie Hastings, Beatrice Smith and Alma Baggett, all of Caruthersville; three grandchildren, Chris Thacker and Jaime Dudley, both of Caruthersville and Carissa Lee, of Quitman and three great-grandchildren, Chelsey Thacker and Christian and LeAnne Dudley, all of Caruthersville.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Hosey and Clarence Lee and one sister, Eutha Reno.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the H.S. Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Chris Thacker, Mike McGraw, Jim Davis, Mike Lee, R.L. Keith and Steve Kuykendall.
