Thomas Sisson, 69, of Kennett, died Monday, June 7, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born Nov. 8, 1935, in Hickman, Ky., he was the son of the late James Farist and Mattie Elizabeth Crafton Sisson.
Survivors include one son, Thomas James Sisson, of Kennett; one brother, James Sisson, of Poplar Bluff; five sisters, Dorothy Clayton, of Mineral Point, Mo., Mary Prater, of Fenton, Mo., Stella Baker, of Villa Ridge, Mo., Betty Watts, of Arnold, Mo., and Shelia Schellenbach, of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, Justina Yates and Tonya Sisson, both of Kennett and Danny Sisson, of Bragg City, Mo.; four step-grandchildren, Rocky, Shannon, Zach and Kelly LaRock and one great-grandchild, Jaden Yates.
He was preceded in death by one son, Murray Paul Sisson; three brothers, Lilburn, Carl and David Sisson and three sisters, Louise Reece, Alberta and Ruby Sisson.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, June 9, at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo., with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were J.L. Oswalt, Virgil Collins, Danny Emory, J.L. Reece, Dennis Sisson, Larry Joe Crafton, Mike Crafton, James Clayton and James Clayton Jr.
McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
