Emily Dowell Dodd, 61, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Hayti, Mo.

Born June 12, 1943, in Braggadocio, Mo., daughter of Melba Clark Dowell, of Caruthersville and the late William M. Dowell, she was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caruthersville and was employed at Ben Mac White Construction company in Blytheville, Ark., as a secretary.

She married Ben J. Dodd, who survives of the home.

Survivors also include one brother, Dennis Dowell, of Caruthersville and two sisters, Patsy Fox and Jeanine Teroy, both of Caruthersville.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Dowell.

Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caruthersville with Father Scott officiating.
