Harriet Mildred Watson, age 92, passed away in the early morning hours of June 1, 2005.
Mildred was born to Frank and Alice Reeves of rural Clarkton on July 14, 1912. Her husband, A.E. (Alfus) Watson preceded her death in 1991. One child, Donald Lee Reeves, three sisters, Bernice James, Ruby Sexton and Marie Reeves; and one brother, Loyd Reeves also preceded her death.
Survivors include her children: daughter Joy Blaylock and her husband Gary of Malden; son Kenneth Watson and his wife Vicki of Williston, Florida; and daughter Karen Demaree and her husband Bob of Como, Mississippi.
She also leaves grandchildren: Gary Blaylock, Jr. and his wife Pat; Debbie Hensley and her husband Jim; Sheila Blaylock; Ken Watson, Jr. and his wife Fran; Michelle Watson; Pam Deptula and her husband Larry; Robert Demaree and his wife Kathy; and Rodney Demaree and his wife Shannon.
The surviving great-grandchildren are Josh Blaylock, Nichole Gillis, Brianna and Devin Demaree and Addison and Brynne Demaree.
She also leaves one sister, Emma Talkington of Phoenix, Arizona (formerly of Poplar Bluff) and one brother, Loren Reeves of St. Louis, many precious nieces and nephews together with a host of friends.
Mildred was a longtime member of what was the Mt. Gilead General Baptist Church of rural Clarkton.
Services will be held at Landess Funeral Home in Malden on Friday, June 3, 2005. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
