Nina Baker

Nina Gail Baker, 64, of Owensville, Mo., formerly of Malden, Mo., died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Phelps Co. Hospital in Rolla, Mo.

Born April 29, 1941, in Brilliant, Ala., daughter of the late Ted and Helen Alberson Barnett, she was a member of the Church of Christ in Owensville.

On June 10, 1958, she married Lloyd Baker, who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1978. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Wayne, Clyde, Harold, Bobby and Roger Dale Barnett and two sisters, Patricia Chiles and Virginia Vancil.

Survivors include one son, Rory Baker, of Berger, Mo.; four daughters, Lorie Morris, of Lakewood, Calif., Debbie Hutcheson, of Vidalia, Ga., Teresa Slanda, of Warren, Mich., and Tonya Baker, of Perryville, Mo.; two sisters, Glenda Gardner, of Berger and Eloise Henson, of Ft. Meyer, Fla.; three brothers, Alton Barnett, of California, Wallace Barnett, of Imperial, Mo., and Keith Barnett, of Belle, Mo., and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 1, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with David McElwain officiating.

Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
