Pauline Smikle, 86, of Senath, Mo., died Monday, May 23, 2005, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
She was born May 4, 1919, at Newport, Ark. She worked for the U.S. Sugar Corp. in Florida, and was a member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ at Hayti, Mo.
In 1983 at Pelican Lake, Fla., she married Adolphus Smikle who survives.
Other survivors include three step-children, Dennis Smikle and wife, Olivia, and Judith Butler and husband, Curtis, all of West Palm Beach, Fla. Winsome Smikle (Maj. Hoskins) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; one sister, Annie Webb of Hayti; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Butler, Chalissa Butler, Jamele Hoskins, Chantel Hoskins, Denise Smikle and Lynzie Smikle.
Funeral services were Saturday, May 28, at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ at Hayti with Elder Courtney Sanders and Elder James Fair officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
Pallbearers were Henry Hamilton, George Hamilton, David Hamilton, Joseph Hamilton, Danny Thomas and Tyron Hamilton.
John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of services.
