John Pugh

John Herbert Pugh, 91, of Holland, Mo., died Friday, May 20, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems hospital in Hayti, Mo.

Born April 22, 1914, at Millidgeville, Tenn., he was a son of the late James Washington and Adele Reynolds Pugh, a member of the Church of Christ at Steele, Mo. and a service station attendant.

He is survived by his wife, Jewell Cannon Pugh; one daughter, Brenda Holt and husband, Larry, of Blytheville, Ark. and one brother, Carlos Ray Pugh of Cooter, Mo.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Wallace Pugh, Grady Pugh, Robert Pugh, Herbert Pugh and Willard Pugh.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Sunday, May 22, at Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home in Steele with John Mundy officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
