Clyde Deck Jr., 80, of Malden, Mo., died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at John J. Pershing VA Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born Sept. 24, 1924, in Kennett, son of the late Clyde Benny and Bertie May Ray Deck, he was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran, having served in WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart.

On Sept. 11, 1987, in Piggott, Ark., he married Vickie Alleen Easley, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Glenda Ackfeld and husband, Tom, of St. Louis, Mo.; one step-daughter, Kimberly Cotton and husband, Jamie, of Malden; one step-son, Billy Wheeler, of Bowling Green, Mo.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Patterson and one son, Clyde Wayne Deck.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Blagg officiating.

Burial with full military rites will follow at the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden.
