Kathryn Verlee Adams, 90, of Gideon, Mo., died Monday, May 9, 2005, at Gideon Care Center.

Born Oct. 6, 1914, in Tell City, Ind., daughter of the late Minard and Mary Florentine Goffinet Shutts, she was a member of the Tallapoosa Baptist Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the Friendship club.

On Feb. 7, 1931, in Gideon, she married Elvis Adams, who preceded her in death in Sept.,1954. She was also preceded in death by one son, Leslie Roy Adams; two bothers, Lesley A. and Ervin Shutts and one sister, Mary Lucille Sears.

Survivors include one son, Richard Adams and wife, Norma, of Kileen, Texas; two daughters, Carol Murphy and husband, Ray, of Gideon and Dena Powers and husband, Robert, of Campbell, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 10, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Lloyd Anderson and Kelly Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.
