Shirley Bailey

Shirley Ann Bailey, 63, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, May 7, 2005, at her residence.

Born Jan. 4, 1942, in Alton, Ill., daughter of Ruth Annie Nelson and the late William F. Nelson, she worked or Maritz Inc., in Fenton, Mo.

On May 15, 1976, in St. Louis, Mo., she married Roy L. Bailey, who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Tammy Miles, of Pacific, Mo.; one son, Kenneth Wisecarver, of Florissant, Mo.; two step-sons, Don Bailey, of St. Louis and Ron Bailey, of Los Angeles, Calif.; one step-daughter, Kim Iannicola, of St. Louis; her mother, Ruth Annie Nelson, of Sandston, Va.; two sisters, Mary Pearson, of Powhatan, Va., and Pauline Halbert, of Cottage Hill, Ill.; two brothers, Carl W. Nelson, of Sandston and Billie Nelson, of Ellsinore, Mo.; three half-sisters, Virginia Crafton and Starline Buchanan, both of Alton, Ill., and Marguerite Sholtis, of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Corey Miles and Amanda and Alex Wisecarver and one step-grandchild, Johnny Iannicola.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee nelson and Charles L. Nelson.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 10, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Paul Wigger officiating.

Burial was in the Rosewood Cemetery, 1st Addition, in Malden.
