Betty Fletcher, 76, of Tamarac, Fla., died Wednesday, January 26, 2005, at University Hospital in Tamarac.

Born Sept. 7, 1928, in Malden, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Glen and Anna Mae Blades James.

On July 15, 1946, in Gideon, Mo., she married Billy Neil Fletcher, who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Fletcher.

Survivors include three sons, Billy N. Fletcher Jr., of Port St. John, Fla., Russell G. Fletcher, of Lauderhill, Fla., and Andrew J. Fletcher, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; four daughters, Carol MacDougall, of Asheville, N.C., Susan DeGuio, of West Palm, Fla., Martie McClain, of Plantation, Fla., and Hope Perkins, of Wellsville, N.Y.; two sisters, Euna Mae Freeman, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Naomi Thornbrough, of Clarkton, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.
