Amy Ruth Ramsey, 56, of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, May 2, 2005, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Born July 10, 1948, in Pemiscot County, Mo., daughter of the late Grover and Josephine Opal Davenport Decker, she was a cook and a member of the Hayti Pentecostal Holiness Church.
On April 21, 1978, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Robert E. Ramsey, who survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Anthony "Tony" Ramsey and wife, Penny, of Bells, Tenn., and Jason Ramsey and wife, Janice, of Dyersburg, Tenn.; four brothers, Harvey Decker, of Princeton, Ill., Aubry Decker, of Springfield, Mo., Chester Decker, of Marengo, Ill., and Freddy Decker, of McHenry, Ill.; five sisters, Wanda Strange, of Orlando, Fla., Retha Toole, of Consequences, N.M., Oletta Bagwell, of Lemont, Ill., Martha Watkins, of Heavener, Okla., and Cathy Keller, of Hayti, Mo.; four grandchildren, Dustin and Hunter Ramsey, of Dyersburg and Brenton and Nicole Mills, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and one great-grandchild, Maliya Marcotte, of Poplar Bluff.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with the Rev. Leroy Thornton officiating.
Burial was in the Portageville, Mo. Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brenton Mills, Nick Keller, Wayne Keller, Eddie Welch, Kevin Welch and Ricky Atkins.
