Montie D. Gunter, 92, of Kennett, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at her residence.

Born in Hornersville, Mo., daughter of the late Marion and Myrtle Brannum Gowen, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She married W.R. "Jack" Gunter, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Parks and one brother, Andrew Neel.

Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Marion Adkerson and husband, Jim, of Kennett and one granddaughter, Jama Adkerson, of Kennett.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at the Howard Funeral Home in Leachville, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 5, at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville.
