Karen Ann Mason, 48, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, April 29, 2005, at her residence.

Born Aug. 9, 1956, in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of Jim Henry Hilburn and the late Ruth Karen Howell Hilburn, she attended the Jesus Name Tabernacle in Caruthersville.

On May 15, 1995, in Walnut Ridge, Ark., she married Brian Keith Mason Sr., who survives.

Survivors also include one daughter, Chelsa Renee Mason, of Caruthersville; three sons, Brian Keith Mason Jr., of Caruthersville and Chad and J.R. Nasalroad, both of St. Louis; her father, Jim Hilburn and wife, Sandra, of Caruthersville; two brothers, Jimmy Wayne Hilburn, of Tucson, Ariz., and William Hilburn, of St. Louis and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with the Rev. Anthony Stepp officiating.

Burial was in the Maple Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Brandon Martin, Michael Wilferth, Kenneth Hilburn, Gerald McCanless, Jimmy Hilburn and Jerry W. Hilburn.
