Rose Mary Stone, 87, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems in Hayti, Mo.

Born Aug. 27, 1917, in Micola, Mo., daughter of the late Hugh Alexander and Maudie Graham Clark, she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

On Oct. 17, 1936, in Caruthersville, she married Ebert "Doc" Stone, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1976. She was also preceded in death by two children, Clark and Linda Faye; five brothers; one sister; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph Stone and wife, Barbara, of Caruthersville and Robert Stone and wife, Trudy, of Gallatin, Tenn.; one daughter, Janice Dunavant and husband, Rocky, of Caruthersville; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville with Dr. James Adams officiating.

Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Brian A. Dunavant, Justin Pounds, Matthew Stone, Pete Bloodworth and Paul Stone.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville was in charge of arrangements.
