Fredie Lee Watkins, 67, of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Jan. 19, 1938, in Pascola, Mo., daughter of the late Willie and Ozie Watkins, she graduated from Central High School in Hayti. She was a homemaker, a beautician, a domestic worker and a member of Faith Temple in Hayti.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmie Earl Watkins and wife, Patricia, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Christopher D. Watkins Sr., of Cahokia, Ill.; two sisters, Geneva Pointer and husband, John and Lulu Louden and husband, Willie, all of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Floyd Watkins and wife, Elizabeth, of Detroit, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, Shanice, Shalonda, Christopher D. Jr., Chakiesha D., Chaquita D. and Antoine W. Watkins, Shanika Lloyd, Nakia Johnson, Latasha Boyd and Sharon Hooten and three great-grandchildren, Eliah, Eli and Elisha Johnson.
Funeral services were held at noon Tuesday, April 26, at the Faith Temple Church in Hayti with Pastor Courtney Sanders officiating.
Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Hayti.
