Jean Kennedy

Jean Mae Kennedy, 91, of Gideon, Mo., died Monday, April 25, 2005, at the Gideon Care Center.

Born Oct. 31, 1913, in Puxico, Mo., daughter of the late James Wesley and Ida James Tolbert, she was owner/operator of Majestic Cleaners in Gideon and a member of the First Baptist Church in Gideon.

On Jan. 18, 1931, in Gideon, she married James Moody Kennedy, who preceded her in death on May 31, 1988. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Rita Mae Kennedy; three sisters, Myrtle and Nevada Tolbert and Wanda Martin and two brothers, Cleadith and Wesley Tolbert.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Gideon with the Revs. Bruce Vinson and Andy Evans officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Gideon is in charge of arrangements.
