Charlotte Lewis

Born July 27, 1944, in Caruthersville, Mo., daughter of the Jean Hinchey Bane and the late Adonis Hinchey, Jr., she was a member of the Hayti First Baptist Church and a 1962 graduate of Braggadocio High School.

Survivors include her husband, Alford Eulice Lewis, of Braggadocio; three children, Stefanie J. Baran and husband, James, of Joliet, Ill., Stacey K. Kuyper and husband, Timothy, of Wilmington, Ill., and Shawn A. Lewis, and wife, Dawn, of Portage, Mich.; her mother, Jean Hinchey Bane, of Grant, Ala.; one sister, Adonis Heinisch, of Grant and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Hinchey.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Monday, April 25, at the John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti with Dr. Mike Melton officiating.
