Sally J. Powell, 81, of Flint, Mich, formerly of Campbell, Mo., died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
Born Sept. 24, 1923, in Malden, Mo., daughter of the late Bert and Nettie Templeton McFarland, she was employed at General Motors and was a member of the Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.
On Feb. 1944, she married Rev. James Powell, who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1994. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Showmaker; two brothers, Bill and Jack McFarland and one grandson, Jeff Forrest.
Survivors include Sherry Forrest, of Flint and Jerry Ann Saltzman and husband, Ray, of Columbiaville, Mich.; one brother, Jerry Dean McFarland and wife, Margaret, of Arkansas and two grandsons, Josh and Justin Venable.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton, Mo., with the Rev. Cotus James officiating.
