Ed Duke, 67, of Kennett, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Columbia Hospital, Columbia, Mo.

Born Jan. 29, 1938, at Senath, Mo., he was a son of the late Connie Clark and Leora Austin Duke.

On March 15, 1960, at Kennett, he married Margie Counts, who survives.

Survivors also include four sons, Donald Duke and wife, Teresa, Keith Duke and wife, Shelia, all of Marmaduke, Ark., Arnold Duke and wife, Rose, and Michael Duke and wife, Shawna, all of Kennett; three daughters, Kathy Singleton and husband, Freddie, Tammy Goodwin, all of Kennett, and Kim Youmans and husband, Jimmy, of Campbell, Mo.; two sisters, Barbara Bishop of Kennett and Inez Glenn of Little Rock, Ark.; 12 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild and five step great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, six brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.

Burial was in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Donald Duke, Arnold Duke, Keith Duke, Michael Duke, Jim Youmans, Jason Duke, Jonathan Duke and Justin Duke.

Honorary pallbearers were Anthony Miller, James Smallmon and Gerald Counts.
