Viola Elizabeth Baker, 85, of Gideon, Mo., died Saturday, April 18, 2005, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Born July 23, 1919, in Atkins, Ark., daughter of the late Ira and Myrtle Gay Hutson, she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Malden, Mo.
On March 27, 1937, in Atkins, she married Wilburn "Bill" Baker, who preceded her in death on June 30, 2003. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ira Jr., Rayburn, Raymond and Sylis Hutson and two sisters, Georgia Jackson and Beulah Hutson.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Baker, of Gideon and Patsy Hargrove and husband, Doyle, of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; one son, Robert Baker, of Ellsinore, Mo.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 19, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Dale Shoup officiating.
Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
