Katherine Mae Davis, 81, of Malden, Mo., died Friday, April 15, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Born Feb. 15, 1924, in Brinkley, Ark., daughter of the late Joe and Mary Allen Wilburn Taylor, she was a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Malden.
On Sept. 1, 1940, in Malden, she married Roosevelt Davis, who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1995. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Davis and Roosevelt Davis, Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Marie Robinson and Potra Davis, both of Malden and Rose Walker, of St. Louis, Mo.; eight sons, Thomas Gaitor, of Sacramento, Calif., Melvin and Jimmie Davis, both of Hammond, Ind., James Davis, of Gary, Ind., Edward, Marvin and Scottie Davis, all of St. Louis and John Davis, of Malden; one sister, Opotra Brown, of Gary and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Malden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. L.L. Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at the Macedonia Cemetery in Malden.
Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of arrangements.
