Leona McDaniel, 86, of Senath, Mo., died Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.
Born July 1, 1918, in Senath, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Birdie Lamastis Luther.
On Dec. 7, 1935, in Cardwell, Mo., she married William Allen McDaniel, who preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1969. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Troy and Leroy Luther; one sister, Edith Bell and an infant grandchild.
Survivors include four sons, Bill McDaniel and wife, Ruth, of Alton, Ill., Jay McDaniel and wife, Barb, of Arnold, Mo., Ronald McDaniel and wife, Donna, of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Curtis McDaniel and wife, Kay, of Senath; three daughters, Mary Price and husband, Leroy, of Strawberry, Ark., Betty Littrell, of Kennett and Blanche Holden and husband, Walter, of Arbyrd, Mo.; one brother, Peter Luther, of Marysville, Calif.; seven sisters, Evelyn Smith, of Caruthersville, Mo., Hazel Crow, of Ontario, Canada, Lois Davis and Mildred Bell, both of Paragould, Ark., Joyce Oxford, of Little Rock, Ark., Jeannie Sisk, of Carlton, Texas, and Louise Garner, of Ben Wheeler, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, at the McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Senath with the Rev. Dale Rickman officiating.
Burial was in the McGrew Cemetery at Senath.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
